Hi, my name is Chikhulupiliro Stanley Jnr Ng'ombe and I am from Malawi.
I have been living with epilepsy since 1992, and I am a leukemia survivor. I'm sharing my story because I want to help even one person who may be suffering like myself to have a better chance of fighting and living with an NCD in Malawi.

My journey with cancer
Not having a way to treat my leukemia cancer in Malawi, I share my journey to South Africa to treat my cancer and my epilepsy diagnosis. I was given hope that if I made it to South Africa, I would survive, and i did. This is in large due to my support network.

My work and call for change
My experience of living with an NCD led me to become an advocate. I'm now working with 3 different organisations so that I can assist the Malawi government in the management of NCDs on a national level. I have personally seen how NCDs can be best treated, managed and how one can live with an NCD. I understand the importance of good quality health providers and what must be done to build the capacity of the health workforce in my country. My goal now is all about sharing my life and calls for change in order to help others.
NCD Diaries
My story is my weapon and I will share it with no reservations.
