This committee comprises 15 members from diverse regions, representing a wide range of NCD lived experiences, care partner experience, and civil society leadership. These members bring invaluable expertise from their personal experiences and extensive backgrounds in advocacy, community engagement and awareness efforts. Together, this new committee will help elevate the needs, challenges, and calls to action of people living with NCDs.
For the 2024-25 term, the Advisory Committee will champion the meaningful involvement of people living with NCDs at global, regional, and national levels, contributing thought leadership to foster inclusive representation. The Advisory Committee will provide strategic direction to the Our Views, Our Voices initiative, ensuring that the voices of those living with NCDs remain central to the NCD Alliance's work and to the NCD response. They will also advise on engaging people living with NCDs in key advocacy milestones, including the 2025 UN High-Level Meeting on NCDs and beyond
In close collaboration with national and regional NCD alliances, as well as NCDA members, the committee will bring context-specific insights, to enrich the knowledge and dynamism of the global NCD community.
